Fukagawa area ,the east side of Tokyo is my hometown. This area is famous as the coffee town, there are some popular coffee shops such as Blue Bottle Coffee.

1Tomioka Hachiman Shrine
At first, I went to Tomioka Hachiman Shrine thorough the shopping street from the Monzen-Nakacho station.
Tomioka Hachiman Shrine is famous for the summer festival. The shrine founded in early 17th century.
2Fukagawa Fudoson Temple
I walked to Fukagawa Fudoson Temple, about 5 minutes.
Fukagawa Fudoson Temple is a sister temple to the grand Naritasan Shinso-ji in Narita, Chiba.
3Searching for good coffee shop
Heading to the coffee town. I had played baseball game at this park when I was kid.
There is old Izakaya, Japanese Bars street. I love this Showa era atmosphere.
The Fukagawa area is surrounded by rivers and canals.
These terrace houses were built after the big earthquake hit Tokyo in 1923. Many people were dead by fire, so these houses made by steel framed structure. This area was burned everything by the Great Tokyo Air Raid during the WWⅡ but these houses were survived.
Fukadaso Cafe, closed on that day. This building was renovated from old apartment and warehouse.
The most famous coffee shop is so crowded.
Heading to another coffee shop, pass the side of the Sumida river.
4Having date with my grandmother at iki Espresso
I had lunch at my home with my grandmother and mother.
After that we went to iki Espresso, New Zealand based coffee shop by walk.
Hot chocolate for my grandmother and I ordered a flat white.
