Mt.Takao in February, easy hiking by the main route

Mt.Takao is located 1 hour from Shinjuku and the elevation is only 599m, but is home to so many kinds of plants, wild birds and other animals. And there is the Yakuo-in Temple at half way at Mt.Takao has origins in mountain worship.

１.Hike up the main route

Departed Takaosan-guchi station at 7 A.M.

The main route is the approach to Yakuo-in Temple.

You can walk in silence at early mooning.

There is the famous Tako-sugi ,the octopus cedar wood, the big routes look like an octopus.

２.At the Yakuo-in temple

Arrived at the Yakuo-in temple.

３.To the top of Mt.Takao

Hike up to the top of Mt.Takao.

Arrived at the top pf Mt.Takao at 8:30 A.M. Gorgeous view of Mt.Fuji!

４.Hike down to the station.

There are many hiking course at Mt.Takao, I chose No.4 route to down.

５.Take a coffee break at TAKAO COFFEE

After a hiking, I took a coffee break at TAKAO COFFEE, is located 5 minutes walk from the Takao-sanguchi station.
