Most up to 2,000m high mountains of Nagano or Yamanashi area are covered by snow in December to April. We need to prepare for alpine climbing.
JR Chuo-Line area in Yamanashi prefecture are very fascinating by the view of Mt.Fuji.
Mt.Takahata and Kuratake are very popular, easy to hiking and the gorgeous view.

1.From JR Torisawa station to Mt.Takahata
JR Torisawa station, 90 minutes ride from Shinjuku, there are no convenience store or any shops, just only vending machine.. We need to buy foods before get a train.
There are many signs to the gate, don't miss.
Passed by the gate, we can get to the beautiful lake.
The trail goes to by the river.
After we passed old statue, the trail becomes steep.
Reached to Mt.Takahata. about 2.5 hours from Torisawa station.
2.Heading to Mt. Kuratake
We could enjoy the autumn leaves for long time in this season.
We can get to Mt.Kuratake about 1 hour from Mt.Takahata.
3.Hike down to JR Yanagawa station
Heading to JR Yanagawa station.
Hike down to forest from Tateno path.
The trail some times crosses the small river, we have to check the red marks.
Walk to left when you get to the road from trail ,we can get to JR Yanagawa station about 20minutes by walk.
